I had a hunch that yesterday may be a long day when at 4:00 a.m. I was getting ready to load my car to head to the airport and I set my alarm off. The good news is that I have confirmed the police are dispatched when the alarm is activated…
Our flight left at 6:30 a.m. and we safely arrived in New York in a Continental Chevette before lunch. We were able to visit Ground Zero, Central Park and TImes Square. At about 6:00 p.m. we headed to the bus station to head back to our hotel at which time we realized we had missed the 4:15 p.m. bus…that was the last bus to Elizabeth until 9:00 p.m.
So we were able to experience the city at night! We arrived back at the hotel about 10:00 p.m. which may explain why you haven’t heard from us until this morning…VERY TIRED last night.
Leaving the city we were reminded of our purpose…we drove past a billboard that said, “Glad you are sitting down, there are over 15,000 homeless children in NYC.” We head to the Hope Center this morning at 6:45 a.m…can’t wait to update everyone later on our day!
Thank you so much for the prayers everyone! Have a wonderful day!
